Congratulations to the recycling residents of Paulding County! Because of your hard work and commitment to saving the Planet, “one box at a time”, we successfully increased our volume by 10%. We diverted approximately 110 Tons of material out of landfill for year ending 2023. That was up from 100 Tons in 2022. I’m not sure how a full year has passed since I took over the reins of the WMEA Program. It’s been a whirlwind of learning about recycling in general and how we, as Paulding County residents, contribute specifically to keeping material out of landfill. WMEA New Website

Your WMEA Program has been up and running during the Covid-19 outbreak, albeit on a limited basis. We’ve still been making pickups at some of the County entities that remained open, supported the school staff as they prepared lunches for our kiddos and did curb-side pickup for some of our Senior Citizens that were concerned about getting out in public. RECYCLING UPDATE AS OF APRIL 27, 2020

Due to the Covid19 Virus, ALL recycling activity and pickups provided by the Paulding County WMEA Program have been suspended until further notice. This includes the Paulding County Fairground’s and Cecil Fire Station pickups that would normally occur the first Saturday of the month from 9-11am. Due to the Covid19 Virus, all recycling activity and pickups provided by the Paulding County WMEA Program have been suspended until further notice. The exception to this directive is the Paulding County Fairground’s and Cecil Fire Station pickups that occur the first Saturday of the month from 9-11am.
